Conifers are trees that bear cones, typically have needles and are often referred to as evergreen trees. Conifers are common throughout the Iowa landscape, and are especially popular as windbreak trees.

Many conifer diseases cannot be confirmed without a microscope, so getting the tree diagnosed by submitting a sample is the typical recommendation before starting a treatment regimen. Getting confirmation would ensure that the treatment regimen you implement is the correct one, which in turn may save you money, time and possibly your tree!
