Pine wilt (Rapid Decline)

In the case of rapid decline, a possible plant problem is a disease known as pine wilt. Pine wilt is a disease which is caused by a nematode. This nematode is tranported from tree to tree during the growing season by a common bark beetle Once a tree is infected with pine wilt, the tree begins to turn brown and and eclines very rapidly. Pine wilt is easily transmitted from tree to tree so identifying the disease and removing infected trees in a timely manner is very important.
